Seurat
Sunday derives its name from the
nineteenth century French artist Georges Seurat, whose most famous
painting, "Sunday Afternoon on Le Grande Jatte" (Art Institute of
Chicago), depicts a crowd of Parisians enjoying a happy outing on the
banks of the River Seine.
