Shirley Whelan
Shirley’s oil painting
“Pope’s Creek Plantation” is of George Washington’s birthplaces in the
fall. Ano the r local landscape painting to be exhibited is “View of
Belmont Bay”, an autumn scene from Mason Neck State Park in Virginia . She
will also be exhibiting small paintings of boats from the New England area.
Shirley has a fine arts degree from the University of Maryland . She has
exhibited in juried art shows at the Fredericksburg Center for Creative
Arts, Liberty Town Arts Workshop, Uniquely Fredericksburg and in Richmond ,
VA at Crossroads Art Center and Art Works.

Cathyann Burgess
This

work of contemporary realist oil painter,
Cathyann Burgess, from
Richmond VA. Ms. Burgess' portrait work was recently recognized in the
2009 National Portrait Competition sponsored by the Jack Richeson and
Co. Fine Art Supplies. She has studied with renowned portrait artists
Nelson Shanks and Daniel Greene. Formerly, she created and chaired the
Art Department for Benedictine High School in Richmond , before
committing herself to full time painting in 2006. Her works are in
both public and private collections. She is a member of FCCA and will
show her figurative work in the Member's Gallery with Shirley Whelan
in April.
