Welcome to The Fredericksburg Center
for the Creative Arts

Juror:  Christine Bailey received her Master’s of Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Arts’ Mount Royal School of Art and holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. Bailey works in various media including drawing and painting, video, photography, installation and new media. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows  regionally, nationally and virtually. Recent awards include Maryland State Arts Council individual artist awards in Photography (2005) and Works on Paper (2008). Bailey’s current body of work and research focus on the function, aesthetics, and politics involved in representations of the landscape in painting and photography. Bailey lives and works in Baltimore Maryland and is a professor of Fine Art at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington DC.
