Workshop with Jeanne Tanks
Students who wish to learn how-to design, build, modify, maintain their own website, using simple programs, tools, & codes, will find this class fun, stimulating, and packed full of information/instruction on web-design, web-layout, user-friendly site-details, web-building, web-maintenance, use of graphics (possibly use of animation), as well as, page & site composition, focal-point, elements / principles of design (all of which are necessary in any art-form, even web design).  Detailed in-class notes will be required (no handouts).  Outside work will be necessary to obtain the most from this experience.

Workshop Schedule:
  FIVE DAY WEB-DESIGN/WEB-BUILDING WORKSHOP
  Monday - Friday, October 18 - 22, 2010;  6:00 - 9:00pm 
  Cost for 5 evenings (15-hours): $150.00/student/5day-15hour-workshop
  + $25/student for use of equipment-program-rental during class for that 5-day period only.  (refund policy)

COURSE OUTLINE:
  Lesson on "designing" your web, color theory, and skillful layout of a user-friendly site;
  Design and build a simple to a complex website -- a web of multiple pages/links;
  Perhaps with slideshow, video, animation add-ons -­ many features to attempt to fit your particular web-needs;
  Use of FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, possibly Flash and other programs like Publisher, MSWord;
  Learning to Design & Build from scratch, NOT using a template.

  AGE: 16 and up.  SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate use/understanding of computers.   MIN/MAX: 4 students.
