Workshop with
Ariel Freeman
Students who are seeking to paint a convincing
representation in watercolor will advance greatly in this workshop,
but will also attain a higher degree of insight into their subjects
and the painting process. Participants will learn the elements that
make a painting work: strong design and composition, value contrasts,
and creative use of color. Workshop participants will also gain
knowledge about value, light, color, and the way watercolor pigments
and water are used, as well as an understanding of color temperature
and how to select pigments to make their paintings glow. Along with
the technical aspects of painting, I demonstrate techniques and offer
feedback on your work as we progress to our completed masterpieces. (Scroll down for more information.)
