Ariel Freeman is an award-winning artist, most known for her bold representational floral watercolors and her pastel paintings in contemporary realism. Her work, which has appeared in many select solo and group exhibitions, has received numerous honors. In addition to teaching painting workshops, she exhibits throughout the region as well as daily in her working studio at Liberty Town in downtown historic Fredericksburg. Cathy Herndon has been an art teacher for 33 years in Stafford County and Fredericksburg City schools. She was honored as Middle School Art Teacher of the Year 2004 and is an award- winning professional artist for the last 27 years in the U.S. and Europe. A member of Art First. Carol Iglesias is a member of Art First and Brush Strokes and Art First. She has had numerous exhibits in the area and was recently inducted into the Maryland Pastel Society. Darlene Wilkinson has work exhibited in galleries in Canada and Houston. She has had published work in Art Doll Magazine and Somerset Magazine. Her work has been seen on the Carol Duval show. She has had special exhibits at the Houston International Quilt festival for 4 years. Jeanne Tanks is a professional artist with 40 years experience teaching 2-D & 3-D art subjects, including pinhole & traditional black/white photography; intaglio, block, silk-screen, monotype printmaking; oil, watercolor, encaustic painting; stone, clay, fiber, metal, wax, stone sculpting; weaving, surface design (specifically silk); but most widely know for her work in heat-formed and manipulated glass. For the last 14 years, she has become a leading specialist in the area in kiln-formed glass art. Her artwork has been jurored into numerous shows in VA, NC, MD, AZ, NM, & MI, and many pieces of her artwork are in private collections across the USA. |
